Warmworks rolls out climate solutions training for all staff

Warmworks has been recognised as the first business in Scotland to put all its employees through the Scottish Qualification Authority (SQA) accredited Climate Solutions Accelerator climate solutions training course. The course has been created by the Royal Scottish Geographical Society (RSGS), the University of Strathclyde, training provider QA and digital experts, Jump Digital.

We recognise that our people play a crucial role in our journey towards net zero. Every small step, from adopting and driving electric fleet vehicles to engaging in energy-saving practices at work, helps to achieve the larger net zero goal.  We have invested in training all our employees to not only provide them with an understanding of climate change, but to encourage them to think about solutions to the climate emergency, particularly ones that they can apply in both a professional and personal context.

A total of 175 of our employees have completed the Climate Solutions Accelerator training course receiving their SQA qualification, with plans in place for all new employees joining the business to also complete it.   We are also working with our sub-contracted installers to put their people through the training to ensure the benefits extend well beyond Warmworks.

Alongside this achievement we have also been awarded a Climate Solutions Corporate Completion Certification from the Royal Scottish Geographical Society.  This recognises our senior management’s commitment to climate education as over 90% of our employees have completed one of the Climate Solutions courses; and we have an ongoing commitment to make sure new employees receive the training.
