As part of our commitment to service quality, Warmworks manages a network of more than 20 registered sub-contractors across the country who help us provide a first-class service to our customers. Before any organisation can be approved as a registered Warmworks sub-contractor, they must satisfy our industry-leading standards on quality, compliance and accreditations.
Once an initial survey has been carried out in our customers’ homes, we will assign a trusted local sub-contractor to install the agreed energy efficiency improvements. This process is expertly managed by our team, working closely with our supply chain to ensure a smooth installation process. Each sub-contractor is continually assessed by a specially-designed performance management system. This is to reassure our customers that they will receive high quality workmanship, and that the people coming into their home are professional, trustworthy and able to deal quickly with any questions or concerns that may arise.
“There were a lot of occasions recently when we did not have a full complement of staff to work with for weeks or even months at a time. It is on occasions like this when you fully appreciate the support and empathy that Warmworks provide. They are always there to assist and advise when required and I really appreciate that.
“Good communication is always the key to running a productive business, and all the Warmworks staff are great at dealing with all the Alba Gas staff in an upbeat, engaging and knowledgeable manner.“
“We have always really enjoyed working on the Warmer Homes Scotland scheme and have valued the partnership and support provided to us from Warmworks.
“When Warmworks offered us the chance to increase the volume of work we were carrying out under the scheme and start to undertake heat pump installations, we jumped at the chance. Although the jobs can be challenging, at the end of the day we can go home knowing that we have made a big difference in someone’s life. That’s what keeps us going.”
“We have been looking at the renewables side of things for a long time, so it’s positive that we’ve been able to access some help and support from Warmworks to make sure that our business can offer this service.
“Having the MCS accreditation in place and being able to benefit from a volume of work under Warmer Homes Scotland will help us to be ready for the future delivery of low carbon heating on the scheme as well as helping us to offer this service to our social housing clients. It’s also good for our engineers to learn more about the heating systems that will become a lot more mainstream over the next few years.”
“As a family-run business, we have always taken great pride in being able to be a positive influence in the community.
“We saw this as a really important part of the contract with Warmworks from the start and we’ve already engaged ten apprentices as part of the Warmer Homes Scotland scheme. What we do is not just about fitting boilers and radiators and we have always invested in the young people that work with us, whether that’s in the office or on the tools.
“We believe that everyone deserves the chance to work hard, learn a trade and get the rewards, so it’s great to be able to offer those opportunities on this scheme.”
