Ross Armstrong brings fuel poverty expertise to Northern Gas Networks advisory role

Warmworks’ Chief Executive Ross Armstrong, a leading voice in the fuel poverty and energy efficiency sector, has joined Northern Gas Networks’ Independent Stakeholder Group (ISG).

The ISG provides independent challenge and scrutiny on behalf of customers and stakeholders across the North of England, helping to ensure their views are reflected in business planning, service delivery and longer-term decision-making.

Ross brings more than two decades of experience delivering large-scale fuel poverty and energy efficiency programmes across the UK. Under his leadership, Warmworks has helped more than 50,000 households make their homes warmer, healthier and more affordable to heat.

This new role follows Ross’ recent appointment to the UK Government’s Committee on Fuel Poverty. Sponsored by the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero, the Committee provides expert advice to the UK Government on the delivery of its strategy to reduce fuel poverty in England. It also encourages coordination across organisations and sectors that support people in or at risk of fuel poverty.
