Opportunities to join Warmworks’ supply chain

At a time when sharply rising energy bills are causing people to worry about how they are going to heat their homes this winter, Warmworks is delivering heating and insulation improvements to homes across the country. We’ve seen high levels of demand for our work, and we’re now looking to expand our supply chain to help us meet the needs of our customers.

Who are Warmworks?

Warmworks is committed to providing affordable warmth to homes, families and communities across the country. We were established as a joint venture partnership between three organisations with considerable experience and understanding of the heating and energy efficiency industries and the customers we serve. These organisations are Energy Saving Trust (EST), Everwarm and Changeworks.

Formed in 2015 to deliver the Scottish Government’s national fuel poverty scheme, Warmer Homes Scotland, Warmworks is now an established, experienced organisation that has already supported more than 29,000 households across the UK to make their homes more energy efficient and better manage their energy use.

The Greater South East Energy Hub appointed Warmworks as one of the Managing Agents on its framework for the Green Homes Grant: Local Authority Delivery schemes. Warmworks assumed responsibility for the majority of the South East region in December 2021 and began delivery across the region the following month. Following the completion of Phase 2, we continue to deliver the Sustainable Warmth programme (LAD3 & HUG1) across most of the greater South East of England.

What opportunity is available?

In the current climate of rising energy bills, we’ve seen a high level of demand for our services. Now we’re looking for installers to join us at this important time for our industry, as we work to support people in improving the energy efficiency of their home and to support them in better managing their energy bills. In coming onboard, you’ll have an opportunity to make a real difference to people’s lives; helping them to stay warm ahead of winter, helping to upgrade heating systems, and helping people to feel more comfortable at home.

To deliver a truly first-class service for our customers, we manage a network of suppliers based all across the country. When we start work with new installers, we view every appointment as a transparent, fair and collaborative partnership where both parties are dedicated to delivering high-standard energy efficiency measures. Below are some testimonials from our existing installers:

Alba Gas, who are a company based in Glasgow that work on the Warmer Homes Scotland scheme for which Warmworks is the Managing Agent, said: “There were a lot of occasions recently when we did not have a full complement of staff to work with for weeks or even months at a time. It is on occasions like this when you fully appreciate the support and empathy that Warmworks provide. They are always there to assist and advise when required and I really appreciate that.

“Good communication is always the key to running a productive business, and all the Warmworks staff are great at dealing with all the Alba Gas staff in an upbeat, engaging and knowledgeable manner.”

DALEX Systems Ltd, also works on the Warmer Homes Scotland scheme, and said: “We have been looking at the renewables side of things for a long time, so it’s positive that we’ve been able to access some help and support from Warmworks to make sure that our business can offer this service.

“Having the MCS accreditation in place and being able to benefit from a volume of work under Warmer Homes Scotland will help us to be ready for the future delivery of low carbon heating on the scheme as well as helping us to offer this service to our social housing clients. It’s also good for our engineers to learn more about the heating systems that will become a lot more mainstream over the next few years.”
